BAL Acousti-Bond tile adhesive for floors to improve sound reduction
BAL ACOUSTI-BONDis a specially formulated ceramic tile adhesive designed to improve the sound reduction properties of a tiled floor. This product should be used in conjunction with approved matting systems to achieve the performance requirements of Part E of the Building Regulations 2000 – Resistance to the Passage of Sound. The product is highly flexible,
rapid-setting and is suitable for fixing ceramic floor tiles, porcelain/fully vitrified tiles, dark natural stone, including slate to approved impact sound reduction mats that have been fixed to a range of substrates including concrete and timber. For light coloured tiles, ensure that the colour of the adhesive does not adversely affect the appearance of the tile before installing.
Classification
BAL ACOUSTI-BONDconforms to BS EN12004 C1FS2 Classification and comprises part of a system that has been independently tested by specialist consultants, and as such is acceptable to the NHBC.
