Mapei Keraflex tile adhesive
Mapei Keraflex is a cement based adhesive with fair deformability, good adhesion strength and no vertical slip, ideal for ceramic tiles and stone materials.
Applications:
- Interior and exterior bonding of ceramic tiles
- Stone material and mosaics of every type on floors, walls and ceilings on conventional substrates (cement renders and screeds, underfloor heating installations, brick walls, blocks walls, gypsum boards, concrete with more than 4 months curing time)
- Keraflex ensures perfect bonding to all normal material used in construction and is able to absorb substrate deformation.
- Also suitable for tile on tile with medium-size tiles (up to 900 cm2) and spot-bonding of insulating materials.
- interior painted walls, as long as the paint is firmly anchored
Installation over gypsum based or anhydrite based surfaces is possible after having first applied Primer G, Mapeprim SP or Primer S.
Grouting and Sealing
Wall joints can be grouted after 4-8 hours and floor joints can be grouted after 24 hours with the specific MAPEI cementitious or epoxy grouts, available in different colours. Expansion joints must be sealed with the specific MAPEI sealants
Ready for Use
Surfaces are ready for use after approx 14 days
Swimming pools and basins can be filled after 21 days/

Bonding ceramic tiles
- Mosaics and small sizes in general (trowel no 4) : 2kg/m2
- Normal sizes (trowel no 5) : 2.5-3 kg/m2
- Large sizes (trowel no 6) : 5 kg/m2
