Mapei Latex Plus admixture
Mapei Latex Plus is an elasticising admixture to be mixed with Keraquick for increased flexibility, and with Nivorapid for not only increased deformability but also improved adhesion on difficult surfaces.
Examples of Usage
- When mixed with Keraquick, Latex Plus forms an ultra-fast setting adhesive with high deformability for interior and exterior installations of ceramic tile, stone, insulation panels, gypsumboard, etc. Latex Plus must substituted for the total amount of mixing water normally used.
- When mixed with Nivorapid, Latex Plus forms a super-rapid cement-based levelling compound with deformability and adhesion for use on highly deformable surfaces in interiors (wood, metal, PVC, rubber, etc.).
Latex Plus + Keraquick - Where to Use
Interior and exterior installation of ceramic tiles, including large format, and moisture stable natural stones not subject to staining on:
- underfloor heating installations
- facades, balconies, terraces
- precast concrete walls
- existing floors (ceramic tiles, marble, etc)
- cement screeds or hot-poured asphalt substrates (provided they are stable and well oxidized)
- deformable surfaces (gypsum board panels, asbestos cement, etc)
Consumption
- Mosaics and small sized tiles: 0.7 kg/m2 (Latex Plus), 2kg/m2 (Keraquick)
- Normal sized tiles: 0.8-0.9 kg/m2 (Latex Plus), 2.5-3 kg/m2 (Keraquick)
- Large size tiles: 1.3 kg/m2 (Latex Plus), 4 kg/m2 (Keraquick)
Latex Plus + Nivorapid - Where to Use
Consumption
- Nivorapid: 1.3-1.5 kg/m2 per mm of thickness
