Mapei Mapeband - flexible sealing tape for waterproofing of interal and external expansion joints
Mapeband is a polyester reinforced rubber tape for the flexible sealing and waterproofing of internal and external expansion joints. For sealing and waterproofing joints to wall and floor of baths, showers, terraces, balconies, etc., that are to be tiled with ceramic tiles, marble, natural stones.
Mapeband can be used with any type of substrate: concrete, wood, plasterboard, etc.
Where to Use
- Waterproofing corners between adjacent walls and between walls and floors before treating with Mapegum WPS, Mapelastic or Mapelastic Smart.
- Flexible waterproofing of expansion joints on terraces balconies, etc. before treating with Mapelastic or Mapelastic Smart.
- Sealing pipes and drains in bathrooms, showers and kitchens in conjuction with Mapeband gaskets.
- Sealing expansion joints in pre-fabricated panels
Technical Characteristics
Mapeband is a vapour and water resistant rubber tape with fabric edging which is resistant to alkali.
Mapeband is elastic and deformable even at low temperatures with excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions.
